Village amenities in Porthtowan include a small grocery store, hairdresser, surf hire and tuition and numerous cafes and pub / restaurants including the famous Blue Bar and newly refurbished Unicorn On The Beach.

The house sits at the highest point of the resort, tucked away in a quiet corner. It has a rear terrace, front veranda and a first floor balcony that offer privacy and enable you to be in the sun all day long, or in the shade if it gets too hot. The communal garden to the front is great for children to play and meet others staying in neighbouring properties. The large paved terrace at the rear is a private and sheltered space ideal for sunbathing and relaxing on the large corner sofa. The fast fibre internet service offers unlimited entertainment options and the ability to ‘work from home’.

Recently refurbished bathrooms with integrated WC and basin units (photos to be updated), real wood flooring to the ground floor and best of all, an air source heat pump providing warm air to the whole house during the chillier days of spring and autumn plus air conditioning on those hot summer days!

The ground floor is very spacious and light with three glazed doors and side windows. The lounge area has two leather sofas, coffee tables, a 49 in. Smart TV and a wide choice of reading material, games etc. The dining area has a large and sturdy oak dining set, plus a separate table for games or ‘working from home’. The kitchen is separate and also large and well-equipped with a view to the rear and back terrace. There is also a WC on the ground floor.

New for 2024! Very large frost-free fridge freezer, full-size washing machine and separate heat pump tumble dryer.

The rear of the house is open right up to the roof with huge windows which greet the morning sun. A painted wooden staircase leads to the first floor.

The main bedroom is very spacious and has a delightful balcony which gets the sun for most of the day and has a lovely view over the rooftops to the surrounding countryside. This room has a superking (6ft wide) bed, plenty of drawers and a hanging rail plus a good sized en-suite shower room. Two more bedrooms offer a king size (5ft wide) double bed in one and twin beds in the other, both with storage space and hanging rails. The shared family bathroom has a full size bath with thermostatic shower mixer, plus wash basin and WC.

Wood floors in all the living spaces and bedrooms help us to maintain a very high standard of cleanliness and a dust free environment for your holiday.  We do not allow pets to stay in this property.

There is an allocated parking space just a short walk from the entrance door. Please note the access path is on a slope and includes some steps so is probably not suitable for anyone with limited mobility that wants to come and go frequently.

What our guests say

Absolute gem of a place to stay

Have visited Porthtowan on many occasions over the years and stopped in a number of properties there. This is by far the best property we have stayed in. It is a short walk down the hill to the beach (less than 5 mins). The property was spotlessly clean, with modern furniture in a spacious open plan setting. The kitchen has everything you need and all utensils, cutlery and crockery match perfectly. Bathrooms were also spotless. A lot of care and attention has been taken by the owner who's communication before during and after has been impeccable. We will certainly be looking to head back in the near future. A gem of a property in one the best little beach resorts Cornwall has to offer.” Gez M
